Wynmoor’s Recreation Department offers a variety of weekly exercise classes taught by certified fitness instructors.
Our Fitness program consists of Aerobics, Balance, Core & More, Toning, Zumba, and many other classes.
Our Fitness Exercise Classes are free to all Wynmoor Residents. Registration is now open for our complimentary fitness classes will begin. Meet our Instructors
FITNESS CLASSES — “NO FEES”
Classes are regularly held at the West Wing I unless otherwise noted. Water Aerobics is located at the Main Pool.
FITNESS SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES & IN FITNESS CENTER.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Aerobic Toning: Cardiovascular training using continuous callisthenic & dance movement with low impact & optional Hi-Lo modifications to music; low to high-intensity workout; for all fitness levels.
Aqua Endurance: Moderate intense performance of aerobic exercise through repeated movements over a sustained amount of time in the water.
Aqua Zumba: Aqua Zumba is a classic aqua aerobics with Latin flavor added. You perform large muscle movements by reaching your arms and lifting your legs in the water, as well as circling your hips and shoulders.
Barre: Hybrid workout combining ballet-inspired ores with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training. High reps of small range movements; low to high-intensity workout.
Balance & Joints: Combination of balance exercises to improve stability & posture. Low to high-intensity workout; for all fitness levels.
Cardio Kick: Boxing inspired that is both heart – pumping & exhilarating. Incorporate punches, jab, hooks, uppercuts, back kicks, front kicks all while engaging your entire body! Moderate intensity.
Core & More: Cardio-based with (10) different ab exercises hitting all areas of the body’s midsection; low to high-intensity.
Dance Fitness: This beginner class helps you dance your way to a happier, healthier & more fit version of you! Great for improving coordination, burring calories & increases cardiovascular fitness . Moderate intensity.
Fit & Flex: Resistance bands or hand weights. Low weights to increase your strength and tone. More reps to increase your flexibility and endurance; low to high-intensity workout.
Relax & Restore: A Pilates and yoga fusion flow. Brining your body into alignment (Monday, body and soul) and improvement (thru deep breathing, stretching, and resting),
Total Balance: Combination of balance exercises to improve stability & posture with exercises to strengthen ankle, hip & shoulder joints. For all ages & levels for fall prevention, better mobility, & increased strength. Beneficial for those who are athletically inclined/impaired mobility.
Water Aerobics: Cardiovascular training using continuous movement with minimal to no impact in the water & having the added benefit of muscle endurance training created by the resistance of the water & with resistance props.
WOW: Workout With Weights! Exercises for muscle strength & endurance with cardiovascular training & joint mobility exercise; for all fitness levels. BRING hand held weights/dumbbells.
Zumba: “Ditch the workout & join the party!” The class started the dance-fitness revolution and changed the way we look at a “workout” forever. It’s fun, effective, and best of all? Made for everyone!
Zumba ‘Chair & Toning’: Zumba toning combines strength & residential training with innovative dance moves, using a chair as your dance partner. This workout combines body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Zumba moves to enhance rhythm & tone all target areas.
