Wynmoorites, we must alert you of this current scam!

Residents may receive a phone call wherein the person claims to be from Wynmoor and request their Social Security Number.
DO NOT PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION!

At no time would Wynmoor Personnel call or email you asking for personal information such as Social Security Number, Banking or Driver’s Licenses information.  

If this happens to you, IT IS A SCAM!  Please immediately report it to Coconut Creek Police Non-Emergency at 954-346-4400.

 

WCC: Safety Reminder

Dear Wynmoorites,

It has come to our attention that last week, a Contractor (non-resident) left a wallet with a substantial amount of money on the passenger side seat of an unlocked vehicle.  The property was stolen, without any personal contact and the owner was not in the proximity of the vehicle during the incident, with no weapons involved. Coconut Creek Police was notified and obtained video surveillance for a thorough investigation into this matter.

We urge you to ALWAYS… Make sure you lock your doors and windows when you leave your unit and car. Don’t be an easy target and help prevent crimes of opportunity.

The Coconut Creek Police Department is proud to announce that it has launched the very first phone application, or app, in its history! It is called “Creek Armor,” and it can be found in the iPhone App Store, and in Google Play. All you have to do to find it is type “CreekArmor” (all one word) in wherever you download new apps on your phone. This includes Android phones.

And It’s free!

It is designed to be a direct, one-to-one, line of communication between you and your police department. You can sign up for alerts on our latest news, such as street closures during traffic crashes, community meetings, and other police department events. There are direct links to police services, such as our Vacation Watch, or to schedule a time for our fingerprint services. It will also link to the city’s main City Events page for information on Coconut Creek’s big events, such as the Butterfly Festival.

It allows you to report suspicious activity directly to our Real Time Crime Center. You can also share your location with a friend so that person can monitor you while you go for a walk or a run. There are direct links to our Crime Prevention Tips and Scam Alerts on our website as well.

The app offers a way you can activate a panic button that will alert our Real Time Crime Center as to your location so we can get officers there quickly during an emergency. It offers a number of different exciting services and I’m glad we have added it to our technology. Few other police departments in the area have anything like what we are offering.
